FREE downloadable models on
the internet.

dead links -- and suggesting new links for this page.
It's hard to believe -- but there are HUNDREDS of free cardstock model
plans available for downloading on the internet.
This list of just 30 or
so models was compiled by Bill McCaughtry, an experienced card modeler.
It will lead you to some of the BEST models
available.
The photos shown were taken from the
websites listed.
This work is being done with the cooperation of about 12 modelers. We hope to produce and sell a real-world book on the subject, hoping
that such a book will
introduce others to this wonderful hobby/craft. The
book could be a real money-maker. The book now (April 2002) looks like
a long shot -- (the publishing
idea was abandoned in 2002). It may still be a good idea. Anyone out there with
publishing connections? All of the related websites will undoubtedly
give
you permission to do a book using their artwork if you give them
substantial credit.
Some of the URL's listed below will NOT take you immediately
to the model in question -- but if you look for the name of the model,
you should be able to find it from that point.
Spacecraft -- "Raptor" is shown -- one of many at

AIRCRAFT
1 / Corsair glider from Free Paper
Planes by Corneles Huisman at: http://www.geocities.com/EnchantedForest/Creek/8015/. This
is listed as a Corsair -- but it really is a Hellcat.
It is a profile
model designed as a glider, but I am quite sure it will not fly nearly
as well as standard fold-up paper planes. Made and photographed by
M. Carbone
2 / Submarine Spitfire from ML Card Models. Check out
the site for some very classy models.

I could not find the frog when I visited on 4/18/02 and
that is a shame --
because it is a great simple model. There
are lots of other models at the site -- take a look. Well,
well -- I just found them -- they are in the "Seasons" collection.
